Privacy Policy

IOS Beta Access + Lifetime membership
Upon receiving payment, you'll accesss the beta link through your email to access to our beta IOS application. (You will receive your download link in your email from Testflight by Apple). 
All apple beta software is accessed through its mobile Testflight app (Link will be in your email to download our beta app to access it and use immediately). The Testflight app is where all beta updates are downloaded from.
You may also download Sensai Mentor from the App Store and upon receipt of  your Beta asset, you also have full access to the non-beta version.
Your support helps further develop the technology behind expanding personalized efficient eduction beyond the individual & gives you early access to future builds along the way.
Refunds can be requested within 14 days of purchase.

Skillhaus (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Sensai Mentor mobile application and related services available at https://skillhaus.com (collectively, the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use Sensai Mentor.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Sensai Mentor app and our websites that link to it (including pages for terms, privacy, and lifetime access). It does not apply to third-party websites or services you may access through links in the app.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account information: email address, password (stored in hashed form on our servers), and authentication method (email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple).

  • Profile and learning data: preferences, goals, notes, lesson progress, achievements, streaks, and other learning-related content you create or save in the app.

  • Chat and mentor interactions: messages you send to the AI mentor, copilot, and in-lesson chat, including follow-up prompts and tool interactions.

  • User-generated content: text you enter, photos you upload for coaching or explanation (for example, photos of work, assignments, or real-world practice), voice input converted to text, and optional submissions such as feedback or “Apply It” entries.

  • Parent/guardian information (minor accounts only): if you sign up as a minor user, we collect a parent or guardian email address you provide so they can receive optional weekly activity summaries and manage account pause settings.

  • Support and communications: information you send when you contact us or submit feedback.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information: device type, operating system, app version, and general technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

  • Usage and product events: anonymized or de-identified app events used to understand feature usage and improve the product (we design these events not to include message content).

  • Identifiers for fraud prevention and access control:

    • On iOS, we may use Apple DeviceCheck and a vendor-scoped device identifier (IDFV) to prevent abuse of free trials, enforce one-time trial limits per device, and lock certain non-transferable lifetime or promotional access to a device.

  • Subscription and purchase status: we receive subscription state from Apple (via RevenueCat) and, for lifetime purchases made on our website, from Stripe. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple or Stripe.

2.3 Information from third-party sign-in

If you use Google or Apple to sign in, we receive information those providers share with us (such as your email address and a provider-specific account identifier) to create and authenticate your account.

2.4 Crash and error reporting

If enabled in our production builds, we use Sentry to collect crash reports and diagnostic information (such as stack traces and device/app metadata) to fix bugs and improve stability.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Sensai Mentor

  • Authenticate you and manage your account

  • Deliver AI-powered mentoring, lessons, quizzes, voice features, and image explanations

  • Store your notes, progress, memory, and learning history

  • Process subscriptions, trials, restores, and lifetime access

  • Send transactional emails (for example, password reset, parental reports for minor accounts)

  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized trial or access sharing

  • Monitor usage limits and service quality

  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms

  • Respond to support requests

4. AI processing and third-party providers

Sensai Mentor uses artificial intelligence to power mentoring, lesson generation, quizzes, research-backed responses, text-to-speech, and image generation. To provide these features, content you submit (including chat messages, notes context, and photos you choose to upload) may be sent to our servers and to third-party AI and infrastructure providers, including:

These providers process data on our behalf subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Do not submit sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, or health records) unless you choose to and understand the risks.

AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. See our Terms of Service.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

  • With service providers listed above, solely to operate the Service

  • With Apple and payment processors to process purchases and subscriptions

  • With a parent/guardian email you designate for a minor account (weekly summaries of outgoing chat/copilot messages sent by that account)

  • With other users only when you use social features (for example, leaderboard connections via friend codes, or optional public leaderboard submissions you choose to include)

  • For legal reasons if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security

  • In a business transfer if we merge, acquire, or sell assets (with notice where required)

6. Data retention

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

When you delete an email/password account through the app, we delete your account and associated data from our systems, subject to limited retention for security, legal, or backup purposes.

Accounts created with Google or Apple sign-in may require you to contact us at [christopher@skillhaus.com] to request deletion, because deletion in the app may be limited to email/password accounts.

Trial-abuse prevention records (such as device trial flags) may be retained even after account deletion to prevent repeated free-trial abuse.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information

  • Object to or restrict certain processing

  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based

  • Port data you provided

In the app, you can:

  • Update profile and learning preferences

  • Delete an email/password account (where supported)

  • Manage Apple subscriptions in iOS Settings

  • Opt out of marketing emails (if we send any) via unsubscribe links

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

8. Children and minor accounts

Sensai Mentor is designed for learners of many ages. If a user indicates they are a minor at signup, we collect a parent/guardian email and may send weekly email summaries of messages that account sends in chat and copilot. This is visibility only — not real-time monitoring and not a safety filter. Parents/guardians may pause chat access for linked minor accounts.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. International users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at https://skillhaus.com/privacy and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
